Mission

Our mission is to combat the massive misinformation being spread about carbon management solutions, primarily carbon capture and sequestration (CCUS). CCUS is a game changing technology which will allow for oil and gas exploration to expand, securing our country’s energy independence and security, but also doing so in a cleaner and healthier way. CCUS has safely been in use for nearly 50 years but has come under attack by special interest groups that are trying to end U.S. oil and gas exploration entirely.

The American Energy Security Project, Inc. (AESP) is a campaign backed by a coalition of forward-thinking American job creators and entrepreneurs who share a common mission: to educate and advocate for the safe removal and storage of CO2 from the atmosphere, while creating game-changing economic opportunities for underrepresented communities across Louisiana and the nation. The project is supported by a coalition of entities engaged in all aspects of the carbon management value chain, as well as key stakeholders in economic development and community engagement.
